Liona Cove was established three hundred years ago. It was at a time when the world was in chaos. Too much was happening between the normal world and what many consider the hidden or supernatural world. Yes, it does exist. The Island was discovered by Lester and Lynn Liona. The couple had been outed from their home. Many swearing the couple was cursed, dangerous, beastly. They were not wrong. Liona Cove as they dubbed it became a refuge for them, and soon others of their kind, and onwards.
While the Lionas’ knew there were other supernatural beings besides themselves, rightly declared werewolves. They had never seen or met another. That soon changed for them. As the Cove continued to serve as the werewolves sanctuary, others flocked there. Soon, the fey entered the Island.
Giselle Erisol was a beauty. The out of this world type. She made her presence known and caused a rift between the wolves settled on the Isle. It wasn’t long before a compromise had to be made between the alpha pair and the once upon a time fae queen. She had been exiled from her homeland. Thrusted out, left for dead, and when she needed allies she recalled her short time with Lester Liona, years prior. She was exiled from the fae lands due to her fascination with humans and her ability to “collect” the special ones. Therefore a treaty was signed between Giselle and the wolf pack. They would live in peace as long as each respected the others lands. Giselle moved to the south corner of the Island with her “gifted” humans. As well as a few of her loyal followers.
Lucian. Here was another problem, a bigger problem. Demon. Straight out of the darkest pit. At least that is what he wanted most to believe. In truth, he was just like the wolves and the fae on the Island. A refuge. On the run, on the outs and not welcomed by his kind. Lucian had an uncanny ability to pull in the humans, and sometimes unable to contain himself showed a little more of the supernatural than he should have. His arrival on the Island two hundred years ago stirred up a lot of problems. The Island was in an uproar. The humans started to suspect, and what had once become a sanctuary was looking like it was going to become death for those who needed safety most.
To preserve what the Island was meant to be, the founding supernaturals once again met and signed agreements. The Island was split into three sanctions. As long as each stayed to their side and promised to keep one another’s secrets peace continued on the Island.
The years have passed, and the stories have become distorted. How the Cove was established has been lost, and most forget that there are more than the mere legends of the wolf. Fae and demons still live on the Island, learning that the human kind can be cruel to those they don’t understand. When they are outnumbered they are not a threat, but then with the Island growing as it has… the supernaturals are once again at the disadvantage.
Liona Cove—a once sacred sanctuary has grown. Today it is one of the fastest growing Islands off of the Hawaiian Islands. It is still considered private, but with the building of the University, Casino and more and more tourist to residence it is more important than ever to blend in. How well can your secrets remain hidden?
