Scott Padraig Donoghue the basics full name ♦ Scott Padraig Donoghue nicknames ♦ // age ♦ Twentysix birthday ♦ April, 21st, 1990 occupation ♦ Music store clerk school ♦He finished his education at Phalanx species ♦ shapeshifter ability/power ♦ Can shapeshift into a skinny, shaggy-looking grey/black dog. how the ability works ♦ Every now and again, usually when he’s particularly tired, overworked or stressed, Scott shifts into the form of a grey and black dog. It doesn’t make him any less tired, stressed or overworked, but it’s what happens and he has to deal with it. When in this form he can still mentally function like a human to some degree, but he is distinctly more animalistic and has far less impulse control. He can transform on his own volition but rarely does so. Afterwards his clothes tend to really smell of dog, too. gender ♦ Male sexuality ♦ Straight the appearance face claim ♦ Cillian Murphy (as seen in Perrier’s Bounty) height and weight ♦ 170 cm and 58 kg identifying features ♦ His eyes, due to their color, tend to be what stands about him the most. He has no piercings, tats or scars. overall appearance ♦ Scott is a slender fellow with messy, dark hair, light blue eyes and a few freckles here and there. He has rather defined cheekbones and a strong jawline. He doesn’t shave as regularly as he probably should and usually sports a beginning beard of a few days. His clothes tend to be simple and not particularly fashionable. His wardrobe consists of mostly jeans, T-shirts in either dark or subdued colors, hoodies and zip-up hoodies. He does have a button-up shirt or two and something resembling a suit for special occasions but rarely wears those. On his feet he wears sneakers and those are also the only pair of shoes he possesses. the personality likes ♦ - Dogs - Melodic rock - Chinese take-away food - Grabbing a drink with friends - Walks in a peaceful area, such as a forest. Not that he’s a very big hiker, but a short evening walk is perfect for him to clear his mind. dislikes ♦ - Very large crowds. He isn’t necessarily uncomfortable, he just doesn’t enjoy being in them. - Clingy people. - Bees. - Winter. It makes he feel a lot more down and he hates the cold in general. - Cheaters strengths ♦ - Loyal - Independent - Confident - Knowledgable on music weaknesses ♦ - Moody - Not stress-resistant - Not the best communication skills - Not very ambitious dreams ♦ - Somewhere in the back of his mind there’s the idea that a small house on some sunny island would solve a lot of his problems. Other than that he doesn’t really have all that many dreams. Having his own music store is something he’s not opposed to, but it’s not a lifedream either; more something he’d settle for, as it’s better than most other options in his opinion. fears ♦ - One thing he’d hate to happen is for him to become disabled in some way and thus becoming a lot more dependent on the people around me - Bees. Bees make him nervous. overall personality ♦Scott is a guy who’s used to doing things his own way. Whenever possible, he prefers to learn things on his own, rather than to take classes. He strongly sticks to his own values, and some of those can be a bit on the conservative side; he doesn’t like things he considers ‘weird’ and from his point of view, there’s plenty of things out there these days that constitute as weird. He is very certain of his own opinions and when asked about them he will be open about them, even if that means being on the blunt side. However, when not asked for his opinion, he’s not very likely to barge in on a conversation and give is opinion either way. So in short; if you deviate from the norm a fair bit, chances are he thinks you’re weird, but he won’t be in your face about it. Ask him, however, and he probably will be a little bit too honest. Scott is also an introvert. He’s not the most approachable person, though he is not without social skills either. He’s highly reliable and a secret is safe with him. His own secrets he also doesn’t really speak of much, purely because he doesn’t really consider it very useful to do so. Perhaps when he’s had a drink or two and a really shit week, but aside from the exceptions he’s more the type that will shrug and do his best to leave something behind him. He hasn’t really had to deal with extreme hardship, however. A truly heavy secret might eventually force him to come clean to someone, though heavy personal issues are likely to be buried if it were to come to that. He sincerely enjoys being around animals, dogs in particular, but oddly enough; horses as well. He’s stubborn. Very stubborn. Although he certainly thinks things through before doing them, especially when they are important, once his mind is set, his mind is set. This means he often does not heed good advice. His determination has another downside; obsession. Scott has a tendency to become extremely obsessed about something when it grips him and if there’s nothing or no-one to drag him back to reality, he won’t even realize that he’s not being very healthy. Scott’s glass is often half empty. He’s not one to give up very quickly, but he is one to be a bit on the grumpy side and this might make him appear a lot more indifferent than he really is. His attitude also makes him appear less intelligent than he is. He’s a pretty smart lad; quick to think on his feet, mostly, but his attitude makes him seem like more of a good-for-nothing, more often than not. But all in all; he’s not a bad person. If a friend’s in trouble, he’ll do what he can. He’s not very fit to be someone’s go to person for advice, but if one needs practical help, Scott is a decent fella to go to. Last but not least; Scott is independent and not a big fan of very large changes. Oh, and stress makes him very, very moody and irritable. the history father ♦ Tomas Donoghue, 64, Owns a small cigar store mother ♦ Bridget MacCailín, 63, Unemployed siblings ♦ Ava Maire Donoghue, 23, also a shapeshifter important people ♦ Childhood friends: - Peter Brady (still lives in Dublin, on his way to become a lawyer) - Kevin Lane (now lives in Paris and works as a comic artist) Relatives: - Mike Donoghue, 70, uncle; Tomas' eldest brother and former owner of the cigar store. hometown ♦ Dublin, Ireland. overall history ♦ Scott was born in Dublin, in 1990 and spend most of his life there. As a child he was outside a lot and he did not have a lot of different friends, but the few he did have were close ones and if you saw Scotty Donoghue, you knew that Peter Brady and Kevin Lane could not be far behind. From a young age it was already clear what Scott was, but in the neighbourhood they lived in shapeshifters were very common, so he grew up around people who weren’t in the least surprised about it. In fact, his two best childhood friends were from shapeshifter families as well. Kevin wasn’t one himself, but that didn’t matter. Scott’s childhood wasn’t very remarkable, all in all. He was an outdoorsy kid that did what outdoorsy kids did, even if it was only in small groups. It was in his teens that he became a bit of a problem child, so to speak. He was rebellious, incredibly moody and rather directionless. In school he was often rather bored and that caused him to pay very little attention eventually. It also wasn’t a period in which very remarkable things happened; after all, puberty was like this for plenty of teens, but a rather stressful period of time for his parents all the same. At fifteen he got his first girlfriend and it only lasted a month. From there on out he’s had several relationships, but to date the longest one was a little bit over half a year. He was twenty-one when he and his family moved. Back then Tomas had lost his then current job in a factory, and an uncle in America had offered him a job in the store he nowadays owns. It was a big step, and a risky one, but Tomas was already at an age where it would be particularly hard to find a new job, especially as a former factoryworker. So they took the risk. Scott transferred to Phalanx, where he finished his education. It was in those years that he got his job at the music store, where he still works. the role player alias ♦ You can call me Susan if it makes you happy.
