[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Alice"] Cherry lips, crystal skies. I can read you like a magazine.
It was June and that meant that summer was already in full swing in New Orleans. The summer tourists were flocking to her beloved city, and all of the best people from Primrose were being shipped off to their home states. States that were very far away and she was too stubborn to ask her father for financial support in visiting anyone who she desperately wanted to see. The French Quarter was fine this time of year, she didn’t have to worry about class work, or Primrose curfews, she could just explore her beloved city and do what she wanted. It wasn’t like she had to deal with her father caring about where she went off to, so long as she stayed out of jail he was generally pleased with her.
She tucked some of her dirty blonde hair behind her ear and walked into the closest cafe. She had a serious coffee problem and there was only one place that served anything that was actually tolerable for her taste. Waiting in line was a minor drawback of journeying into the place, because it seemed like everyone else knew that it was the best. The tourists were off trying to get their gold stars at Starbucks, but that corporate stuff was disgusting to her. She preferred waiting with the rest of the locals for her favorite ice coffee with white chocolate and that was just the way it was.
Fishing her phone from her pocket she sent a quick message to Ash to see if he wanted anything while she was out, they had plans for a movie marathon at his place when he finished spending time with his visiting cousins. Ash was the one person who made being at Primrose tolerable and she loved him for it. They would stay up late, watch movies, and usually pass out in his living room. His parents didn’t mind when she would sleep there, mostly because they knew that there was nothing but sibling love between the two of them. She wasn’t sure what she would do without Astor and honestly she didn’t like thinking about what that would be like. She put her phone back into her pocket and stepped forward to place her order,
“Hey, can I please have an iced coffee with white chocolate and creme?” She asked, then paid and stepped aside to watch the barista skillfully making drinks behind the counter.
@open 434 NOTES: love her maybe!

| Lara had finally some time off, although she had to be careful. It wasn't because her enemies actually knew who she was, but Lara mocked them posting pictures about her heists. Sure, she had two network lifes, one of her own and one for her...job.
Today wasn't a work day, though. She wasn't here because of a job, sometimes she just liked travelling. However, her job could follow her even though she didn't want to.
She hadn't even been reading because of her power, going into books, and by that she meant every story that was written out somehow, could be problematic. Last time she had to bring back a wand that she had taken by mistake...and that had been a difficult task. She didn't want to ruin this time off.
Lara looked around and noticed that most of the locals were waiting in a coffee shop. Lara had learnt long time ago that if you really wanted to experience the nice stuff then you had to follow the locals and telling apart tourists from locals was an easy task, really. For instance, locals didn't go around taking pictures every five seconds in front of every single thing.
So, Lara decided to try that coffee shop and waited in line behind a blond woman who ordered coffee with white chocolate and creme "Sounds delicious" Lara thought and decided to ask the local about it, the thief really wanted to act like one of those over-excited tourists right now, it could be fun.
"Hi!" Lara smiled to the blond woman in front of her "I'm so sorry to bother you, but I just wanted to ask you if I should try that too?" she pointed the blonde's coffee "I'm sorry but, I don't really get all these flavours, you know...in Italy you just have Espresso and that's it" there were also Cappuccino, macchiato, etc etc but Lara was talking about just coffee. Also, Lara had let out her Italian accent.
The thief smiled to the blonde woman and waited for her answer if she was going to answer. Most of the time, people felt awkward with the over-excited tourist, another reason why this was fun for Lara.

Evan smiled when she saw a text message from her boyfriend that he was studying and could use a bit of a distraction. She cared for him deeply and she loved spending time with him. He was a sweet man and someone completely different than she was used to. She was used to guys with roaming hands and rushing fingers. Not someone who would get flustered when she would hold his hand. Casey was wonderful and she couldn’t believe how happy he could make her in such a short time of knowing each other.
She put her phone back into her pocket when someone spoke behind her with a thick Italian accent. She had journeyed there the summer before with Ash. They convinced his parents to allow them to to borrow the company jet for a trip to Venice, Verona, Rome, and Tuscany. They explored all over and had the time of their lives. She turned around and listened to the woman ask if she should try that too. “Sure, it’s a little sweet, but perfect for a warm day like this.” She motioned the big windows and knew that tourists flocked to New Orleans like a moth to the flame. She was always grateful when the tourists would seek out local places rather than something corporate like a Starbucks.
“Grab one and join me at a table.” She motioned to somewhere she would be sitting and smiled at her, “Always willing to help someone discover the best places here.” She loved telling tourists and Primrose students from out of town about the best places that she and Ash discovered over the years. They were both from New Orleans and spent years finding everyone in the world to go together.
Evan grabbed her coffee from the handoff bar and slid a five dollar bill to the barista for a tip. She knew that Casey worked with the person behind the counter and that they were good friends. She didn’t like to throw her family’s wealth around, but she enjoyed helping people who worked hard for their money. People who could make the best coffee in the city, and people who did so much more for their income than she had to.

| Lara smiled happily at the woman politeness so she looked at the bartender "Can I have what she had?" she asked and after one minute the coffee was in her hand "Thanks!" Lara saw the woman giving a tip to the bartender "Oh, right, you give tips here in America" she mumbled to herself pretending that she didn't know or that she had forgotten. So she gave some tip to the bartender and then followed the woman to the table.
Lara sat in front of the woman and took a sip of the coffee. It was quite nice! Sure, Lara preferred strong Espresso coffee, black and without sugar in it so the kind of coffee she was drinking right now was a quite change, but it was good nonetheless! Lara nodded "This is very good, you have good taste!" Lara smiled and then tilted her head a little, some of her black hair covered her eyes because of the motion, Lara put the hair back behind her ears "Sorry, I haven't said my name yet! I'm Lara, nice to meet you!" she presented herself "What's your name?" then she asked.
People were coming and going and there was chitchatting with nice background music. The atmosphere was very welcoming and that was important with clients. The weather outside was nice too, everything seemed nice right now and Lara wanted to enjoy this as much as possible. She didn't get enough days like this one. Just relaxing. Without worrying about her not-so-legal life. Although, she stole to bring back relics so at least she stole for a good cause.
Lara took another sip of her coffee while waiting for a reply. She was calmly drinking her coffee when someone bumped into her, or better, her right arm. Lara almost spilled out the coffee "Ehi...!" she mumbled to herself because she knew that the person didn't meant to bump into her, it was just that there were a lot of people in this coffee shop "Uh, yeah! It didn't spill out!" Lara smiled looking at the coffee and then she looked at the woman sitting in front of her "I'm clumsy, but not that clumsy" Lara joked and then took another sip.

Evan watched the woman who stood behind her order the same thing she had. “Doesn’t hurt that my boyfriend works here. Try to be nice to his coworkers.” She admitted, knowing that Casey worked hard in the coffee shop and that people didn’t always appreciate it. “Plus, yeah, it’s an American thing.” She never noticed how thick her southern accent was until she was around tourists or when she would be with the Adkins family. Even Casey still had a Welsh one from where he grew up. Aden and Delilah were from Maine, they didn’t have too much of an accent and when she was around them she swore that she sounded like the Cajun firefly from Princess and the Frog.
She held her hand out when Lara introduced herself after trying the coffee. The white chocolate was much sweeter than plain espresso, but it was a nice break from some of the stronger coffees that she drank when studying for finals. “Evangeline Charbonneau, nice to make your acquaintance.” She held her hand out to the other woman and grinned. The south was known for it’s hospitality, and she tried to live up to it when she met new people visiting her home state. “It’s nice to meet you too.” She took another sip from her drink and got comfortable in her seat.
“Most people call me Evan.” Aden was the only one who insisted on using her full name. Evan grinned when the other woman joined her at the table and brushed some of her long blonde hair from her shoulder. “Yeah this place is pretty popular with the Primrose crowd.” The world knew of Primrose as a fancy boarding school for the rich and snotty. It was only the people who actually went there who knew the truth about what happened in the ivory covered halls
“So, tell me about yourself Lara.” She sipped from her drink and knew that people with skills flocked to New Orleans because of Primrose, Phalanx, and Monroeville. She wasn’t sure if she got the supernatural vibe from this woman, but she was sure that if she was, there was probably something interesting about this woman regardless.

| Lara couldn't help but smile when Evangeline said that thing about the acquaintance. It was a funny nice thing to say, also, Lara had noticed only now the southern accent. They shook hands and then Lara sipped some more coffee too. Really good coffee. Lara could see why this coffee shop had so much clientele.
"Evan, then!" Lara smiled, nodding. She liked Evan, she was a very nice person. Most of the time, people didn't react very well at the over-energetic tourist, but Evan was being very nice. Lara appreciated that.
Lara tilted her head to the right, just a little, when Evan mentioned Primrose "Are you a member of that school?" Lara asked rising a brow "I don't know much about that school. Do you like it?" Lara asked taking another sip of the coffee.
"Mhhh" Lara frowned when Evan asked her to talk about herself "Sooo, I'm Italian..." Lara kept frowning to show that she was thinking hard on what to say "...I like travelling a lot and I wanted to come here, my friends have always suggested me to come here and I can see why!" Lara smiled nodding and it was actually true.
Lara wanted to ask Evan what she could say about herself, but she had already asked that thing about the school so she didn't ask anything else at the moment because she didn't want to be too much intrusive.
Lara was about the take another sip, but the coffee cup was empty "Ohhh, this was really good, I even finished it without realizing!" she laughed a little so she put the coffee cup on the table "Ehi! What places do you suggest me to visit here?" Lara asked Evan with still the over-energetic tone.

She smiled, this woman seemed to be very friendly, and like someone who Evan could really enjoy talking to. There were many people who came to New Orleans just looking for a raunchy good time of alcohol and Mardi Gras, but she loved the town she was raised in. It was her home and she couldn’t want anything more from it.
“Evangeline is such a mouthful.” She commented with a laugh. There was only one person who insisted on calling her by her full name outside of her parents. She would never understand Aden’s fascination with her full name, but she had to admit that there was something sensual about the way it would roll off his tongue.
She sipped her coffee and knew that most of the world thought that Primrose was some fancy boarding school that took no applications a year, and only housed the richest families in the world. “I do, I’ve been going there since I was fourteen about?”
Evan smiled when Lara admitted that she was Italian, “Wow, far way from home. What part of Italy are you from?” She asked, having been there before with Delilah on a Adkins’ family trip. Her parents went to explore a vineyard and left Delilah and Evan to their devices while Aden sulked. “It was beautiful when I went, I can’t imagine how you could ever want to leave.”
“Well it depends on what you’re into.” She replied, “Some people are really into those Anne Rice vampire books, so they stalk out her house. Some people like the wildlife, so they’ll go to the bayou. Most tourists head up to the French Quarter and just wander.” She explained, motioning out the window to the lost looking tourists with big maps and even bigger spots of pure white sunscreen on those noses and arms.
