Neziah Joran Chase the basics Neziah Joran Chase ♦ nicknames ♦ Ziah age ♦ Sixteen birthday ♦ January 14, 2000 occupation ♦ Student school ♦ Primrose species ♦ human ability/power ♦ telekinesis how the ability works ♦ Limitations - Neziah is limited to only moving things with his mind. What things exactly is really up to his mind. There’s no telepathy. No foretell. He simply only has the ability to move shit Triggers - Well by now he actually understands how his power works, for the most part. He’s able to move objects at will without much trouble. The only thing is if he’s angry or emotionally raged, control is very much lacking. Weaknesses - With any ability that requires use of the mind, the weakness would be the mind itself. If it was strained or he found himself knocked unconscious, there would be an “absence” of mind, so to speak, and so would inhibit his ability to properly use his powers. Additionally, if the mind were out of control, he would be hard pressed to control his own damn abilities. Overall Effect - I think we know how telekinesis works. For the most part, it affects the physical world and, y’know, physically, he could throw shit at people without throwing shit at people. gender ♦ male, he/him/his sexuality ♦ heterosexual the appearance face claim ♦ Sam Claflin height and weight ♦ 6 feet 0 inches, 175lbs identifying features ♦ Dimples? Those are quite noticeable. overall appearance ♦ Neziah and his twin are rather fair-skinned. They both have dark brown hair, although he himself shares the same color eyes as his mother. They were blue in color and hypnotic on sight, but the issue was that beyond the color, one could see that he was burning with a whole lot of anger. His most recognizable features besides those eyes were his dimples, although given the fact that Neziah really didn’t smile as much as he and his twin would like him to, they’re really very adorable. Another stark difference between him and Noah is their height. At some point during puberty, he suddenly grew and wouldn’t stop growing until he hit a good even number: 6 feet, even. As of right now because he’s still getting used to his height, Neziah often slouches and very much likes to slump his shoulders purely out of habit. One shouldn’t judge him purely by posture alone, for Neziah is actually quite toned and fit given the amount of time he likes to spend boxing just so he could get out some rage (part of his therapeutic sessions). God damn those therapists. the personality likes ♦ hanging out with his sister, running, reading books, drawing, bread dislikes ♦ bullies, people in general XD, homework, Benjamin Underwood (you’ll read about him below) strengths ♦ Intelligent - So he might not get the best grades, but letters don’t define his intelligence. In fact, Neziah is quite smart and is quite knowledgeable about plenty of facts. He likes to enhance his intelligence by continuously reading, and quite frankly the boy gets easily bored with those who could not keep up with him. He’s always in need of some mental stimulation. Protective of those he cares about - Namely, he is quite protective over the one person who remains as part of his family. Neziah cares deeply about his twin sister and would do just about anything to protect her. He’s always the first to stand by her side and would not back down even when he knows he’s outnumbered. Athletic - Neziah is an energetic boy who has to keep moving in order to keep calm. As a result, he likes playing sports even though he doesn’t particularly like being part of a team. Tough, right? weaknesses ♦ Temperamental - This is probably one of his worst issues. Neziah has anger issues and because of that can snap quite easily, sometimes without even thinking. Once at this point, he’s fueled by rage and the only person who could really calm him down is his sister. Distrustful - It’s hard to get him to trust anyone except those he considers family. In fact, given that he was raised by Benjamin Underwood for most of his life, he believes that everyone is going to use him and his sister for their abilities and then throw them away once done. Attitude - Why yes. He has an attitude problem, but doesn’t every teen? LOL. He probably does need to check himself, but usually he would only listen to Noah if she tells him to back off. dreams ♦ In all honesty, he dreams for freedom. Neither he nor his sister actually have said freedom at this point given that they’re permanently tracked, but someday… he wants to find that freedom. fears ♦ Nazieh’s biggest fear ever is if anything happened to his sister Noah. If something did he honestly wouldn’t even know what to do. overall personality ♦ Given what Neziah and Noah have been through (re: history) in their past, one would understand why he is the way he is. At this point, only Noah understands that her twin brother is caring and willing to do anything for her, even sacrificing his own well being for her sake. In fact, to her he’s quite kind and gentle, but when it comes to outsiders (aka other people) he’s quite abrasive. Neziah doesn’t trust people and assumes the worst, and he sure as hell wasn’t going to start thinking differently now. That distrust is probably the root cause of his abrasiveness and awful temperament. He snaps easily and the moment he does it’s very, very hard to calm him down unless Noah is there to place a lid on his pot of boiling water. the history father ♦ Justin Chase, 30 at the time of death, factory worker and waiter mother ♦ Elizabeth Chase (nee Albany), 28 at time of death, stay-at-home mom siblings ♦ Noah Abigail Chase, 16, Student important people ♦ Benjamin Underwood, 43, Majority Investor hometown ♦ Liverpool, England overall history ♦ Justin Chase was always a hard worker. He was a blue-collared individual who worked in a labeling factory’s graveyard shift. Justin never really had much money to begin with, and the pocket change that he was earning from the graveyard shift was hardly enough to keep himself afloat, especially in a society of ever-rising costs and increasing standards of living. It also didn’t really help that whatever spare change he did have after spending it on bills, he spent it gambling in old blackjack rooms (secret Justin was walking home at 6AM in the morning, making his way down the long, concrete streets that led to the old, wood-worn building of his flat. For some reason on that morning, he was feeling particularly thirsty and that feeling was the reason for his snap decision to stop by a small little restaurant that literally only served three-items on their menu. Eggs, sausage, and toast. The workman stumbled into the restaurant sleepily with dark circles beneath his eyes, probably looking only somewhat conscious, and honestly it showed when he stumbled into a nearby stool. Elizabeth Albany was the waitress on shift that day, and upon hearing the sounds of clattering metal utensils that struck the floor she wiped her hands on her apron and scurried over to help the man up. A cup of coffee was the very thing she offered, but Justin would argue that it was certainly a lot more than that. Elizabeth was beautiful with eyes so blue that he could’ve just drowned in it, and because he was so taken away (maybe because he was extremely very tired) he stayed at that little restaurant until her shift ended. After that, the two continued talking… and talking… For hours they just kept talking. Neither knew where they were, just the fact that they kept conversing as if no time passed at all. He learned then that Elizabeth was a struggling college graduate who was unable to find a job after university and so had to resort to small day jobs that had tips. In turn, she learned that Justin moved to the city from a small town in order to make a new living… working a factory job. Such was the start of a relationship between two people who got along so well that it was essentially love at first sight. The two were married at a young age, but in all honesty (and as both would say) the only positive thing that happened in their lives was the fact that they found each other. The couple spent their honeymoon on a roadtrip through the UK, stopping by any historical landmarks and spending time together. Yes---the circumstances of their fateful meeting and the love story that followed shortly thereafter was storybook and ideal. A lovely story. One that needed to end in the most gruesome way. Elizabeth Chase became pregnant sometime during their one-month excursion. Neither seemed particularly ready for parenthood, nor did they ever think that it would happen so soon after their marriage, but when it came they both eventually succumbed to the wondrous possibilities of starting a family. Sure, the Chases weren’t exactly great at budgeting and neither could take any more time off work to actually make a living, but they never really had any supportive family of their own. Perhaps if they started one, they’d have the support system that they needed. Nine months later, she gave birth to a set of twins: a boy and a girl whom they named Neziah and Noah, respectively. Neziah was the first birthed, and after much complication, Noah was born a dozen or so minutes after. Eventually, the Chases settled back in Liverpool where both Justin and Elizabeth moved into Elizabeth’s flat to raise their twins. In order to support his family, Justin had to pick up a second job given that Elizabeth had to go on maternity leave. For the most part, aside from the fact that they hardly could afford a living, their family was otherwise pretty happy. They cared not for first world fancies; so long as they could provide food for their children and a roof over their heads Their living was modest, but that made it all the more important to focus on family. The twins in particular were very close. Given that he was older It was at the tender age of 6 when the young twins were in school when a few young boys came up to his twin sister and began bullying her. Naturally, Neziah wouldn’t stand for bullying, especially if those boys were specifically targeting his sister. The young, temperamental boy came scurrying toward his crying sister, petting her head and smoothing out the precious little curls that framed her heart-shaped face. Anger---white hot seething anger boiled his blood and “switched on” that part of his brain that struggled for control. The little plastic toys that surrounded the playground rumbled and shook, at first emulating that of a tiny rumble and then… an earthquake. No one initially noticed at first, but it only just so happened that their teacher did from inside the classroom. Pushing the frame of her glasses up the bridge of her nose, she leaned just a touch forward and noticed when the playground toys suddenly rose in the air and encircled the bullies not unlike predators stalking their prey. The toys suddenly converged on the bullies and that was when their teacher intervened. The Chases didn’t know then that the very person who pulled their children away from the scene on that very day worked for someone who was very, very powerful with frightening connections and underworld knowledge. The twins were sent home from school to a panicked Elizabeth who took her children in despite the odd, supernatural thing that happened that day. Neziah, too, was frightened by what he did after the anger subsided. The young boy locked himself up in his room (much to his sister’s protest) and he… he experimented to find out the extent of his powers. Shortly thereafter, they would soon find out that Noah had gifts as well. A couple of months later, a knock rapped the door to their little flat while the twins were at school. Elizabeth was the one to answer, and immediately upon open, her throat was slit. Blood gushed from her throat, spilling onto the floor as her assailant stepped in and waited ever so patiently for Justin Chase to return home with the twins… And when he did, he, too was killed and the twins were kidnapped and taken from their home. By the time they regained consciousness, the Chase twins were in a completely different environment, one they did not recognize. The walls were stark and white, lit with dim fluorescent lighting, and he realized then that he… was… alone. The young boy panicked, his heart nearly beating out of his chest as he tried to breathe and find where whoever took Noah. In fact, his sister could probably hear his panicked screams for without the calmness of his sister to settle the chaos within him, Neziah was difficult to control. Little did he realize, scientists in the other room were trying to figure out and tamper with what exact powers little Noah possessed... Eventually, both twins were detained and taken into a large, windowless conference room where a man dressed in a neatly pressed Italian suit (coupled with Italian leather shoes) stood waiting for them both. He introduced himself as “Benjamin Underwood” though they would both be hard pressed to figure out whether that was actually his real name. Benjamin was smooth and calm, so very suave in his manner of speech and mysterious in demeanor that it was difficult for anyone to actually tell what he was even thinking. Ohhh but the man thought. And sure enough, once introductions were over, an injection needle was stabbed right into Noah and knocked her unconscious. Neziah’s scream resonated in the otherwise empty room as he struggled to escape Benjamin’s grip. He watched in horror as scientists worked quickly to inject a tracking device into his sister… and shortly thereafter, the same would be done unto him. The twins were too young at the time to fully understand what was going on, but soon they both found themselves eventually moved from their home of Liverpool across the pond to a city they hadn’t even learned yet in school. New Orleans, Louisiana. They were both issued warnings. Run and they would witness the end of the other. Stay… and perhaps their powers could be honed to be useful for the organization. Both twins were forced to comply, but it was difficult adapting to their new, strange environment when feels of loss and pain haunted them in their sleep. In particular, his poor sister experienced double the amount of bad dreams… and usually one would never find the twins separated. Twice a week the twins would be pulled aside by Benjamin Underwood to have their powers exploited. Neziah was forced to go outside with one of Benjamin’s cronies, using his powers “for the betterment of The Cause.” Meanwhile, Benjamin himself would work on learning more about Noah’s abilities to foresee various futures. There were many times when Neziah was forced to many questionable acts against his will… whether he was willing to tell anyone aside from his sister what exactly he did---well, that’s another issue entirely. Eventually, the twins were enrolled into Primrose Academy in order to obtain the best possible training and education that’s needed in order to control and hone their abilities. For the most part, however, they pretty much kept to themselves. That is, rather than sitting with a group of children for lunch, the twins chose to eat elsewhere (outside perhaps) and converse on their own. Sometimes they didn’t even need to converse and instead resorted to twinlepathy to read what the other was thinking. Neziah was actually surprisingly smart despite his humble upbringings. The only problem was, for a smart guy, he didn’t apply himself when it came to homework simply because he just didn’t care. On tests, however, he somehow always manages to pull out top marks which frustrated the hell out of many teachers. The older they were getting, the more rebellious Neziah became. Benjamin had a difficult time reeling the boy in which meant he needed more people at Primrose to keep an eye on the twins for him. Neziah’s temperament had always been an issue, and many knew now that if they crossed him they would surely meat an undesired trip to the nurse’s office. Somehow, his rowdiness and frequent trips to the Principal’s office were swept under the rug… perhaps thanks to the involvement of a Mr. Underwood. So many times people just simply avoided him because they’d rather not deal with a boy that meant trouble. At the end of the day though, he had his sister and that’s all that really mattered. He sure as hell wasn’t going to let anything happen to her. the role player alias ♦ Tiny age ♦ 26 pronouns ♦ she/her/hers code ♦ ADMIN EDIT other characters ♦ no others so far! |
