audrey therese sartre the basics full name ♦ Audrey Therese Sartre nicknames ♦ Ree age ♦ twenty two birthday ♦ October 30th, 1993 occupation ♦ unemployed school ♦ Monroeville ability/power ♦ density manipulation species ♦ Human how the ability works ♦ audrey can expand or condense the space between atoms in objects. she produces a chemical hormone that can stimulate cell division at a rapid pace, or destroy cells and force them together. in a less scientific explanation, she can cause things to implode or crush inward. her control over the ability is decent-- it's the control over her emotions that causes the issue. anger naturally makes her fairly dangerous, and she has been known to cause destruction around her as a response to it. she can use her ability on anything living or not, though she doesn't generally-- has never really-- unintentionally do it to human beings or living creatures. in order to use her ability on a human, for example, she would need to have a great deal of concentration and intent, because living cells are much more complex, sending and receiving several signals every second. the ability is more draining the larger/more complex the target object is. dense material is more difficult to work with because the particles within are so intact. it takes a lot for her to begin to feel physically strained, but it does happen, more quickly after targeting something that's alive. when targeting something, she must choose whether she is expanding or constricting. to do either, she must have a good idea of the structure of a target. therefore, if she's never seen something before, or hasn't held it, she may be unable to manipulate its atomic makeup. gender ♦ female, she/her/hers sexuality ♦ heterosexual the appearance face claim ♦ emily browning height and weight ♦ 5'1", 95 lbs identifying features ♦ audrey has various small scars around her face and upper body where she has caused objects to explode while she was nearby. she has a tattoo of vines and thorns wrapping around her neck and running down the middle of her back. overall appearance ♦ audrey grew up in a wealthy household, and her clothing displays this. she's very expressive, often wearing scarves, hats, pins, and pendants. she's a very small body, petite and short, and her hair is kept short and often left flat. her face is very distinctive, her lips being lush and round and her hazel eyes big and piercing. she generally has resting-bitch-face, but it's very much unintentional. you'll often see her eyeliner-hidden eyes glancing downward, but that doesn't mean she's not paying attention. the personality likes ♦ reading, walking, dull colors, indie music, people who are laid-back dislikes ♦ noise, obnoxiousness, distraction, dishonesty strengths ♦ observation, reading people, retaining new information weaknesses ♦ casual conversation, retaining long-term memory, filtering her thoughts before speaking dreams ♦ to get out of the hellhole known as monroeville fears ♦ being touched, being held in captivity for the rest of her life overall personality ♦ audrey's an incredibly complex character behind a seemingly shallow exterior. she isn't good at conversing, but that doesn't mean that she doesn't like to talk to people. her tone is generally monotonous, but she feels emotions quite vividly. she's very put off by stupidity, and lacks patience to deal with this in any person she encounters. she's not the nicest person you'll ever meet, but if you know how to take a blunt remark, she's not that bad either. if you don't really know her, she's rude, but if you do, you understand that she just speaks her thoughts. she's very observant, and can tell you how many buttons were on your shirt four days ago. she can't, however, tell you about a book she read a year ago. her memory is accurate and lasts her about a month. she can tell if you're nervous while your fingers are twiddling or your eyes are darting back and forth, but she won't show obvious signs of emotion. this is involuntary. if she's focused on something, she doesn't want to be interrupted, and she absolutely cannot stand it when people offer her physical contact, whether it's a hug, a tap on the shoulder, or a shove. if you've reached a point in your relationship with her in which she is touching you in any subtle, non-romantic way, you've accomplished earning her trust, and would be stupid to get rid of it because you won't be gaining it back. the girl's loyal, honest, and friendly, but it takes a patient person to figure that out. the history father ♦ francois sartre, fifty four, owns a hospital mother ♦ lily delacroix sartre, fifty one, doctor in ICU siblings ♦ alexei, brother, twenty five important people ♦ none yet! hometown ♦ born in Paillet, France, grew up in Louisiana overall history ♦ audrey grew up in a an obnoxiously large abode in France, born to two wealthy parents working as ICU surgeons. when she was four, they moved to the states after her father was offered an amazing business opportunity. it was there that she grew up, used to not seeing her parents often because of their long hours of work. it gave her a lot of time to figure out what was wrong with her. she knew about the human body-- she was surrounded by knowledge of anatomy and medical science. it didn't take much for her to realize that something about hers was different. she produced this chemical... this hormone that allowed her to do things that others couldn't. for awhile, her brother was that only one that knew. it scared her, and so it wasn't a topic of common conversation. she and alexei were very close, and he developed abilities of his own-- able to manipulate seismic energy. they practiced gaining control over their abilities and managed to keep them to themselves until audrey was fourteen. she hadn't meant to do it. a large package was delivered to their home one day while audrey and alexei were training. that day hadn't gone well, and much of the house was destroyed. she'd broken her brother's leg in being startled, and was a panicked mess by the time she got to the door. she cracked it open, tears streaming down her face, telling the man in a rush to go away. she took the package, but in opening the door further to pull it inside, the man saw much of the house and took a concerned interest in the state of the place. he walked inside with furrowed eyebrows, and audrey screamed at him to leave. in doing so, she crushed his body inward, and his organs were destroyed, causing a quick death. she screamed in horror, running to her brother and asking him what to do. within a few hours, there were law enforcement officers arriving at the house. it was the first and last time audrey had killed someone, and she was dragged out of her house and away from her brother. today, eight years later, she resides in monroeville and hopes to see her brother soon. monroeville is the last place on earth that audrey wants to be. literally-- she'd be happier sitting in the middle of an active volcano. she doesn't feel that she deserves to be there despite her undying guilt for what she did. she's confident that it won't happen again, and doesn't understand why that isn't enough for everyone else. she has lived there quietly, only getting to know a few people really well due to her lack of effort on the matter. if someone's her friend, it's because that person was willing to approach her and instigate conversation. there are definitely people she's no fan of, and she will have done everything in her power to avoid them-- people that she deems to be rude or obnoxious. she's uptight, and still kind of needs someone who can loosen her up. in reality, the place isn't bad, but she doesn't like the idea of being held somewhere for the rest of her life for one thing she did so long ago. she doesn't want to learn control because she feels that she doesn't need to-- she's already done it. the role player alias ♦ flix age ♦ forty seven. just kidding-- still twenty one pronouns ♦ she/her/hers code ♦ Admin Edit other characters ♦ Casey Jaimison Foster |
