parker ilia abramov the basics full name ♦ parker ilia abramov nicknames ♦ Park age ♦ twenty seven birthday ♦ December 25th occupation ♦ concert pianist ability/power ♦ rhythmic manipulation how the ability works ♦ Parker can control and manipulate the rhythm of most things. He has a dead on internal clock helping with his natural knack for music. But his ability is in tune with his emotions more than anything. He can change some things like the speed of a clock, ticking of a metronome, drip of a tap things like that without much effort. But he is far more interested in the darker side of his ability. Parker's abilities can work with Rhythms in nature. Like the pace of breath or a heart beat. Of course this all takes a ridiculous amount of concentration on his part to change. When he is playing it is said that often the room will react with him. That is because it is about the only time he is truly happy. So crowds will react with feeling calm and soothed, breathing in time with him as he plays. People walking will walk in time with the beat of the song. But again, that is not the part of his ability he cares about. Only once has Parker actually stopped a heart, and that was of his sisters. He was so lazer focused on her and filled with hate. Sense then every time he has tried it ended up with migraines and bloody noses, and even him passing out more than once. But he has a general handle on causing heart attacks or sending people into fits of hyperventilation or slowing heir breathing way down. He does have to be in the same room as a person and focused on them to do anything. Once he leaves their body will return to functioning as it normally would. The only times he effects more than one person at a time is when he is playing. That is because his ability works so much better when it is connected with his happiness. Unfortunately Parker's life has mostly been filled with hate and desperation. species ♦ human gender ♦ male sexuality ♦ heteroflexable the appearance face claim ♦ sebastian stan height and weight ♦ 5'11", 172 ish lbs identifying features ♦ other than chiseled jaw and stone sharp cheek bones? overall appearance ♦ Parker likes to look good, that doesn't mean he will just stick to suits, but more anything well tailored. Parker thinks about everything that he wears and how his hair is done. the personality likes ♦ playing music, wine, power, being important dislikes ♦ kids, electronic music, bad food, being told no strengths ♦ musical protegee, self confidant weaknesses ♦ fragile ego, power hungry dreams ♦ to be successful fears ♦ being remembered for nothing overall personality ♦ Parker is very good at making people feel like he is their friend. Mostly he doesn’t have a use for real friends, or at least doesn’t think he does. He had people that he hangs around with, because lonely is not something he likes to be and generally Parker is hungry for attention. Mostly he lives his life like it is a business. Keep people around until they stop being useful and he also tends to live by the idea that everyone has their prices. So he deals with people like products. As it would seem that there could be plenty of enemies, but rubbing people the wrong way means they don't want to be around him. And Parker wants eyes on him. So he tries not to have too many of those. But Parker does have manic tendencies these days. He can be violent, he tends to play games with people. But there are people who will not like him. And honestly it's unwise to voice any bad feelings twords Parker because he has been known to use his ability to change people's minds. So being a relatively creature thing Parker does like to flirt a lot. but love is a hard thing for him to say that he does have. His parents were an awful example of a marriage and about the only thing he got to see growing up and as said before he treats his life like a business. Though if he were to actually give a chance to someone who might thaw out his heart it can be risky, if there were to be any foul play within the relationship it can trigger his violent tendencies. the history father ♦ Arlo Leblanc, 64, computer programmer mother ♦ Domanika Abramov, 53, piano teacher siblings ♦ Anya Abramov, deceased important people ♦ Katya Abramov, 80, grandmother hometown ♦ Baton Rouge, Louisiana overall history ♦ Russia was cold and hard but it was home. Ballet was everything; eat, sleep, drink, dance. Watch your weight, stretch, work harder. It was a demanding life but it was a life to be proud of. Until one day there would be an accident and when she was so close to been the lead. But with torn plantar dance wouldn't be the same. She lost her spot, her job, her pride. There was little work to be had and Domanika was trying to support her mother. She had heard of some girls finding money through men, American men that would pay for their cost of living and then get them out. They would have their way to America paid and a nice life there. What other option did she have? She found an agency that set her up with a profile, had her pictures taken and information taken down. She would then have to speak to men. Most of them told her disgusting things. Talking about nothing but sex. She would humor those men, needing the money for now, but none of them ever paid enough to have her be their bride. Then there was one man he was a little nicer than all the others. One day he even showed up to Russia. She spoke no English, and him very little Russian but he was nice, brought her jewelry and a fine jacket. It took a couple of months but soon enough she and her mother had a ticket to America. She clung to the piano, her second love when he moved to a city that was so much different than her home land. Yelling was mostly what Parker remembered of his childhood.Screaming. His father yelling at his mother about how she was so cold, she never even tried to make this marriage work. And then his mother yelling back about how this was never her dream. How he had lied all that he did was work and then she would go off in Russian, endless fast Russian. Honestly Parker understood the Russian easier than he did the English, his mother only speaking her native tongue to her little boy. A door slammed and then it would just be his mother and his grandmother speaking to each other. The kitchen would soon smell like cigarettes as they each lit up their non-filter camels. Because of this Parker was often yearning for attention. He would beg for this scream to get either of his parents to pay attention. It only seemed like when he sat at the piano he would get what he wanted. He had a knack for the piano, his little fingers fluttering over keys.He had impeccable timing for things. That was just how it was. As the years went on things got worse after their second child a little girl came into the picture. His father got violent. Every night his parents would fight so he would go into his grandma's room where eventually Parker was no longer welcome, saying that he was the reason that her daughter was stuck here 'in this country with this man so unhappy'. Parker got mad at his grandmother for being such a cruel woman. One night she had a heart attack. It was blamed on her almost constant smoking and age. As he grew up life never got easier. He still wanted nothing but attention that he never got. Even his piano wasn't enough to get his mother to pay attention. Not when she had her little girl who was going to be breed to be the little ballerina that her mother had lost a chance at with her injury. It was when he was ten, Anya was six and just the light of his mother's eye. Parker was sitting on his piano bench watching, glaring at his sister as she practiced her dance and their mother looked on with a smile. Suddenly her heart stopped. Before that Parker had been noticing other things. When he was calm playing, piano or violin that he had started to pick up now, people would calm around him. Seem to breath in time with his music and own breathing. If he was upset or frightened clocks would tick in time with his own heartbeat. But anything major, like his grandmother and now his sister was always when there was nothing but malice and so much concentration on wanting something bad happen to someone. Fits didn't do much. It took extreme emotions and there was nothing that made him more angry than seeing his mother cast him to the side. It was just his sister that had to suffer for it. She never made it past that night, the emt's were too late to start her heart back up and form that day his life fell apart more. Domanika left Arlo getting almost everything in the divorce. She however was more of a shell as ever. Always working, teaching other kids how to play, praising them but just smacking his hands when he got the wrong key. He wasn't her perfect little ballerina, so Parker could never be good enough. He however just grew cold and obsessive. Always practicing until his fingers bleed, picking up new instruments learning them, how to play beautifully, thinking that maybe if the piano wasn't what she liked, he could be a cellist. His obsession always worked him up, so the rooms he was in anyone would feel their hearts thud, they would walk quickly, the clocks spinning faster. No one ever really caught on to what was happening but Parker knew none of this was an accident. His grandmother had started to mumble about how he was cursed, cursed like his grandfather had been. Mostly people just chalked it up to old age, again like the heart attack that couldn't have been an accident. His mother too out of it to care. Katya would scream at Parker to get away whenever he was around. He had groan to loath the woman, but was never able to quite replicate what happened with his sister. If he tried to really effect anyone without that hyper focus that was only reserved for gaining the acceptance of his mother he would end up with migraines nose bleeds and his grandmother's heart rate would only be elevated at best. His tantrums and obsessive music playing began to be too much for his mother. So he was carted off at fourteen. Thinking that he was sick, and maybe there was something about what her mother had been spouting. That he was a curse, like her father had been and getting him out and away, would finally bring some sort of peace to her otherwise tortured life. That just fueled the hate that was in Parker. But at Monroeville he learned more about what made him special. When he was sixteen he was scouted on an outing as a group to a park. It was a rare thing that happened, but they didn't always want to keep the kids locked up, some of the staff actually wanting to help some of the kids. there was a piano in the gazebo. All he seemed to do was play the meager piano that was at the asylum. But here was a baby grand and it was so beautiful. That is were the woman that would save him form Monroeville would find him. From then Parker was put on stages, in front of people to show off his talents. But it was a rigorous schedule, but he learned to love every bit of the fame. That is where Parker would learn the very valuable lesson that you catch more flies with honey. That didn't mean he trusted a single person. Finally he was getting attention something he so desperately wanted. But when his mother got back in contact it was only for money, her piano teaching wasn't panning out. Finding that out sent him in a fit, his mother landing in the hospital because of a massive heart attack, similar to the one that his grandmother had suffered when he was a boy. Visiting her in the hospital she had told him that he was cursed and she was wrong to have ever had him. That she was sorry for this life that she had brought him into. Of course it made Parker angry to think that through all of this it would never matter what he did, that he was this monster of a thing to the only woman he ever wanted approval from. He had not seen the woman sense and now just wants to be the best, on top, because he knows that he is so much more than disappointment. the role player alias ♦ Alice age ♦ old enough to party pronouns ♦ all of them? he/him she/her, they/ them if you must code ♦ Admin Edit - Alice other characters ♦ none yet |
